Bernard Brooks

Bernard Brooks, 65, of 307 Carolina Street, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, at Lila Doyle Post Acute Care in Seneca, SC.  Born in Greenwood, SC, he was the son of the late Walter Brooks and the late Julia Tolbert Brooks. He served in the US Navy and was a graduate of Greenwood High School Class of 1978.  He was preceded in death by two sisters, Julia Brooks and Mary Brook and a brother-in-law, Terry Martin.

Those who are left to cherish his memories are eight siblings, Walter Brooks of Greenwood, James (Rosa) Tolbert, Rebecca Brooks Collier, Christine Martin, Minnie (James) Lights, Josephine (James) Butler, Rena Brooks Gray and Francine Brooks, all of Greenwood, a special aunt, Rebecca Tate of the home and other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, February 13,2026 at the Chapel of Robinson & Son Mortuary, conducted by Minister Shirley Johnson. Presiding will be Rev. Andrew Deal.  Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Gardens.  Public viewing will be from 1:00-6:00 pm on Thursday, February 12, 2026.
